Dusty Robotics is an autonomous robotics company with a successfully launched product in the construction market. Its flagship product the FieldPrinter™ is an industry transformative product that automates the layout process for construction projects. The 60+ person team supports a fleet of robots that is deployed on construction sites across North America to increase the quality and predictability of building projects.
Dusty has raised over $69M from top-tier venture capital firms including Scale Venture Partners, Baseline Ventures, Canaan, NextGen Venture Partners, and Root Ventures. Our customers include some of the largest names in the construction industry, including DPR, JE Dunn, and Skanska.
We are now looking for a VDC Solutions Specialist to join our Customer Success team. You will play a critical role in the successful deployment of our FieldPrint Platform on construction sites across the United States. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure that our systems meet client needs and project timelines.
This position is hybrid (2 to 3 days/aweek) out of our corporate headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Implementation
- Lead technical discovery sessions with VDC, layout, and project teams to assess current workflows and integration opportunities.
- Deliver high-impact product demos using customer-specific Revit or AutoCAD models, highlighting layout automation and field-ready workflows.
- Develop and optimize Revit-to-field data flows, including preparation and export of layout points, model alignment, and coordinate system management.
- Collaborate with VDC and BIM teams to validate models, troubleshoot geometry issues, and ensure compatibility with automated layout systems.
- Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer needs and inform roadmap development.
- Create and maintain customer action plans, workflow documentation, training content, and technical guides tailored to customer use cases.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and customize external operating procedures for Dusty’s largest customers. These procedures should be created in partnership with the client to create a repeatable plan to implement the FieldPrinter.
- Maintain and grow our Strategic VDC Partner network and leverage them to accelerate adoption and drive repeatable success across multiple clients or projects
Training and Enablement
- Train VDC partners as certified implementation allies—turning them into multipliers who can serve as localized extensions for field deployment
- Routinely check in with Partners to ensure business alignment, obtain feedback, and maintain partner quality
- Create and contribute to well-designed training content (e.g., quick start guides, Revit prep tutorials, field setup videos) to help new users get productive quickly, avoid repeated mistakes, and minimize dependency on live support
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the engineering, product, and R&D teams to ensure the products meet client specifications and can be deployed efficiently
- Push opportunities with marketing for deliverables such as case studies, multimedia content, web features, speaking engagements, and more

- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD—including layout workflows, shared coordinates, and family management
- Experience preparing models for layout, managing point clouds, or integrating automated layout tools
- Familiarity with construction document sets, field QA/QC processes, and layout verification tools
- Familiarity with automated layout systems (e.g., Dusty Robotics, Trimble RTS, Leica iCON, Hilti PLT, or similar) and field-to-BIM coordination
- Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex technical workflows into practical, job-site-ready solutions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Sharp eye for detail
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Bonus Points
- Autodesk certifications (Revit Professional, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.) or experience with Revit API/custom tools
- Experience working with BIM coordination software such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Autodesk Construction Cloud
