Environmental Geographic Information Systems Manager

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for managing and visualizing environmental samples, monitoring, and construction data to support remediation projects for Department of Defense clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the environmental/remediation sector and demonstrated ability to drive efficient high-volume production of maps, charts, and figures, and transition existing project libraries to ArcPro. This role is a position of leadership, responsible for receiving and delivering work requests from internal clients and multiple concurrent projects. This role will also involve collaborating within a focused project team to develop and implement novel data management solutions, improve methods for field data collection, and support visualization and 3D modeling of point cloud data using ArcGIS and Trimble Business Center.

SALARY:

$75,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.


TRAVEL:

Up to 1-2 times per year for technical field support.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A, B.S, or M.S in Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or related field
  • 2-10 years related experience
  • Mastery of ArcGIS Desktop and Pro


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S or M.S in a related field
  • Minimum of 3-10 years in a similar role, preference for candidates with experience in the environmental industry serving DoD clients
  • Proficiency in MS Access and SQL relational database management/administration
  • Proficiency in programming in SQL, VBA, and/or Python.
