Job Description:

Cable Pipe & Leak Detection, a leader in the plumbing and utility locating industries, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, locating, and marking underground utilities, including water, sewer, gas, communications, and electric services. Your expertise will play a vital role in construction planning, preventing damage during excavation activities, and ensuring the safety of both our team and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and accurate location of underground utilities using specialized equipment.

• Mark the location of utilities effectively and clearly for excavation teams.

• Communicate and coordinate with construction foremen, crews, homeowners, and other stakeholders regarding utility locations.

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

• Document and report findings and activities in a timely and accurate manner.

• Continuously update skills and knowledge in utility locating technologies and practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in utility locating is a plus.

• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or a related field.

• Understanding of utility systems and excavation practices.

• Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
