JOB SUMMARY
The Yard Worker will perform a wide range of manual tasks to assist with the receiving, shipping, and tracking of materials needed to support structural concrete operations at multiple field locations. Primary responsibilities will be filling material orders, loading and unloading of materials, inventory and light maintenance of small tools and equipment, and assisting with the overall organization and maintenance of the supply and storage yards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Follow written and verbal instructions from the Logistics Manager.
2. Maintain inventory of small air and electric tools, including cleaning and servicing of equipment.
3. Organizing, warehousing, and management of construction supplies and materials inventory.
4. Assist drivers with loading/unloading as necessary.
5. Pull and pack materials for delivery to jobsites.
6. Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop and parking lot, including sweeping, painting, removing debris and rearranging materials to accommodate incoming inventory.
7. Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to manage and move materials within the yard, including unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
8. Cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles.
9. Drive work vehicles to and from vendors and construction sites.
10. Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and effective material handling.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with general construction and trades is preferred, but not required.
- Self-starter, motivated, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively identify the best approach to accomplish the specified work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new technologies as needed.

- Able to walk and stand for the entire shift duration.
- Able to load and unload materials/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to lift and carry materials/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing or pulling materials/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stooping, crouching, and kneeling while performing various maintenance and organizational tasks.
- Climbing stairs and/or ladders to access second level of warehouse and stacked inventory.
- Working outside for all or most of the workday in all weather conditions.
Work environment:
- Outside for most or all of the workday.
- Noisy and dusty conditions.
- Exposure to various weather conditions.
