LENX is Lennar’s dedicated strategic investing arm that drives the company’s technology and innovation initiatives. The Director of Finance will be a critical member of the team, owning all aspects of portfolio management, performance and reporting as part of a growing investment strategy. The manager will also be responsible for all operational aspects of our business and support the investment team with competitive analysis + market monitoring across our areas of interest.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
- Own ongoing reporting, monitoring and tracking for existing investment portfolio.
- Be the key point of contact for LENX’s internal stakeholders, including accounting, finance, legal and tax. The Director of Finance will build relationships with these groups, improve flows of information and timely reporting and help drive increasing connectivity with our counterparts.
- Review, synthesize and report on company-generated reports (board decks, investor updates etc.) and third-party information / indicators related to our existing portfolio companies.
- Regularly liaise with portfolio companies to assess current financial positions, understand financial and strategic outlooks and obtain relevant KPIs for reporting purposes.
- Prepare and present asset management materials + other internal presentations on an ongoing basis.
- Manage all operational aspects of our existing investment portfolio and new initiatives.
- Design, implement and own a tracking system of companies across our areas of interest.
- Create public and private company comparable databases, research various markets of interest and construct landscape analyses to evaluate investment / partnership opportunities.
- Monitor, synthesize and report on macroeconomic, VC and industry-specific dynamics.
Requirements
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience in accounting, corporate development, FP&A, fund administration, investment banking, private equity, research or venture capital.
- Experience as a Director and architecting a finance strategy at an investment firm.
- Detailed understanding of US GAAP. Experience with portfolio reporting a plus.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting and strong modeling skills.
- Strategic mindset and an interest in automation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment and collaborate across various teams – multi-tasking and working under pressure, while still meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to create, develop, and maintain relationships.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
