Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our apartment complex. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be entrusted with protecting personnel, property, and assets while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Walking foot patroling the hallways and vacant apartments.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide assistance.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.

Skills

Certified in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in conflict management are a plus.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
Must have Maryland hangun permit and Maryland guard card.

This is an apartment complex. Predominantly a foot post with breaks in office. Patrolling hallways, laundry rooms, vacant apartments and the grounds for criminal activity.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Overnight shift
Weekends only
