Role Overview
As a
Business Analytics Specialist – Associate Listening, you will play a critical role in advancing our Associate listening program by supporting research initiatives that keep a pulse on what our Associates need and feel. Reporting to the Director of Associate Listening, you will help design, implement, and analyze surveys and focus groups, build compelling data visualizations and reports, and share actionable insights with stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address high-priority business needs, particularly focusing on field Associates’ well-being. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your skills in qualitative and quantitative research, data visualization, and storytelling to drive change in a dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
- Design and Conduct Associate Listening Projects: Design, deploy, and analyze Associate focus groups, and interviews to understand Associate experiences and improve workplace outcomes. Partner with stakeholders to address specific business needs, focusing on field Associates’ well-being.
- Analyze and Visualize Data: Translate complex data into clear, impactful narratives for non-technical audiences. Create user-friendly reports that integrate qualitative and quantitative insights, transforming data into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with HR, IT, Communications, and business leaders to implement effective Associate listening solutions.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Adhere to data privacy, security, and quality standards throughout all listening activities.
- Stay Current: Research industry trends and academic findings to continuously improve listening methodologies and tools.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative people research methodologies.
- Ability to synthesize insights from diverse data sources (e.g., surveys, interviews) and communicate findings in a business-oriented manner.
- Proficiency in tools such as SQL, R, Python, or similar for data analysis.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong storytelling and communication abilities, particularly with non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
- Experience in Associate listening, people analytics, or organizational research.
- Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries is a plus.
Additional Information
This hybrid role requires 20 hours per week, with approximately 10 hours spent in the field and 10 hours working remotely with the option to use the Houston division office. Travel between Dallas and Houston is required.
