Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to our residents in a long-term care residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and be able to assist them with daily living activities (ADLs) and training skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to residents, assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record individual behavioral, and progress notes.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Assist with care activities, engaging residents in mentally stimulating activities and providing emotional support.
- Provide care and support in a residential care setting, promoting independence and dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in long-term care, assisted living, adult residential setting or a related field.
- Knowledge of dementia care and ability to work with residents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience with vital signs and have CPR & First Aid certification.
- Ability to create and implement personalized care plans.
- Experience with patient care and direct support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in areas such as CPI, DSPI and/or DSPII required are a plus. Or trainings would be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
