What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking Lead Teachers who:
- Genuinely love working with children and are passionate about fostering their intellectual and emotional development.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, creativity, flexibility, and a professional work ethic.
- Are ready to lead by example, inspire others, and maintain a positive and welcoming environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
- Leading daily activities that promote child development.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Supervising and mentoring Teacher Assistants/Aides.
- Preparing educational materials and serving meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks).
- Documenting and sharing children’s progress with parents.
- Building strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community.
- Participating in professional development, staff meetings, and parent meetings.
What You Bring to CPJ:
o Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) preferred.
o High school diploma or equivalent with a CDA credential and 5-7 years of experience in infant, toddler, or preschool teaching.
o Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
o Familiarity with NAEYC standards is a plus.
o Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and education.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and suitability determination process through OSSE.
- Completion of a drug and alcohol test, health certification, and CPR/First Aid and Food Manager's Certification.
- Submission of official transcripts and at least three professional references.

Pay: $25.42 - $30.69 per hour
