Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- Experience: Preferred 3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience programming and operating CMM's is required.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills; effective business correspondence and reporting; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems, acute eye for details during inspections.
- Knowledge: understanding of modern manufacturing processes; knowledge of systems implementation including ISO 9001 and AS9100 preferred; experience with basic and advanced measurement tools (OGP, Trimos, tool scopes, etc.); knowledge of blue print reading / GDT; an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.
- Abilities: To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to be able to solve practical problems and work effectively with customers, suppliers and other internal departments.
Essential Duties:
- Work cooperatively with all employees.
- Program and operate CMM - previous experience required
- Initiate, perform and maintain inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspections.
- Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
- Investigate and determine cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process.
- Assist in the handling and documentation of nonconforming product.
- Assist in maintaining the calibration system.
- Performs all other assignments as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit (using a computer), reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and walk. The employee might occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
This is a non-smoking, professional, state-of-the-art machining shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a state-of-the-art machine shop.
Protective Clothing Required:
When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed shoes are also required in certain locations.
