Non-exempt/hourly position
Compensation:
Starting pay rate: $52.50 per hour
Pay increase after completion of training
Additional increase to $62.45 per hour after 1 year of employment
Summary:
Under the immediate supervision of the VP of Protective Services, the Low Profile Close Protection Agent acts as a member of the Close Protection team by supporting all aspects of security operations for designated principals.
Duties:
- Provide low profile close protection coverage for principals, guests, employees and others in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.
- Safeguard individuals and properties from all forms of security and safety hazards.
- Conduct daily close protection duties as assigned and directed.
- Perform checks of vehicles including, fuel, wash, service.
- Perform close protection functions at selected locations and venues.
- Support other security assets as directed.
- Respond to alarm/fire/panic calls and liaison with local authorities.
- Document incidents via reports/pics/witness statements.
- Proficient in the use of various forms of current technology including smartphones, tablets, cameras and audio/video equipment.
- Must have the ability to participate in team training on a scheduled and random basis.
- Ability to travel to foreign and domestic places to provide coverage for principals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

- 3-5 years in Executive Protection and/or Law Enforcement (Surveillance experience is a plus)
- Ability to communicate via radios, phone, email, text, face-to-face, video.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to follow checklists, procedures, policies and protocols.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous.
- Ability to participate in all team security training.
- Ability to operate autonomously.
- Computer Skills: The position requires proficiency using the Internet, email, MS Office/Adobe and Google Drive, as well as proficiency at utilizing various mobile devices.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current Passport with more than six months expiration
- California BSIS Guard Card
- California CCW, LEOSA/HR 218 – Preferred
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification for Adults, Children, and Infants
- Have the ability to obtain WFR (Wilderness First Responder) certification. Training will be provided.
- Have the ability to obtain EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification. Training will be provided.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; work with explosives and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting pay rate: $52.52 per hour
- Pay increase after completion of training
- Additional increase to $62.45 per hour after 1 year of employment
- 10 - hour shifts, guaranteed overtime pay in accordance with CA state law and Federal law
- Paid sick leave
