Omitron is seeking a Facilities Security Officer (FSO) to support operations in Colorado Springs, CO. The FSO will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of personnel, classified information, and facilities in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable regulations. This role supports a classified DoD customer and includes managing security programs, personnel clearances, emergency preparedness, and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a secure environment for employees, vendors, and visitors.
- Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and training programs.
- Conduct emergency response and fire risk assessments and training.
- Perform routine security risk assessments to mitigate threats to classified assets and facilities.
- Manage compliance with government security regulations, including NISPOM.
- Oversee and maintain personnel security clearances, including initiation, tracking, and reinvestigations.
- Manage classified contracts and ensure proper handling and protection of classified materials.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and records of facility access, incidents, and clearances.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies for seamless security operations.
- Support classification management, security reviews, and audits.
- Provide expert guidance during program team meetings.
- Interpret security policies and develop facility-specific security plans.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience with a degree, or 15+ years without a degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related discipline
- Experience: Previous experience as an FSO supporting DoD or intelligence community programs
- Certifications: Industrial Security Professional (ISP®), FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities (CDSE), or similar certifications
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $135,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
