Position Summary

Essential Functions
While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and diagrams for events, gear development, and various entertainment projects.
- Design and implement symbols and templates that support design consistency and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain and organize files, ensuring all drawings, templates, and resources are readily accessible and structured for quick retrieval.
- Work simultaneously across multiple projects, providing drafting support for diverse event setups, gear designs, and other technical requirements.
- Utilize Vectorworks (with basic 3D capabilities) and SketchUp for creating drawings, plans, and visualizations. A familiarity with other software is a plus.
- Ensure that all drafting work adheres to industry standards, internal guidelines, and project specifications.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and engineers to understand the project scope and provide clear, effective communication of technical information.
Experience And Skills/Abilities
- Google Workspace, Netsuite, HubSpot, and Monday.com are preferred.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks (including basic 3D drafting).
- Experience with SketchUp or similar software is preferred.
- Background in the entertainment industry with a focus on technical drafting for events and gear development.
- Strong mechanical drafting experience, with an understanding of technical specifications and requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements as needed.
Education
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably within the entertainment industry or a related field (such as event production, set design, mechanical design, etc.).
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- This role will initially be a hybrid position, with the intention to work onsite in the future.
- Routine use of standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about occasionally inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and have routine contact with individuals in the office.
- Occasionally may need to climb stairs, travel and have the ability to move about both indoor and outdoor venues.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs routinely and 25 lbs occasionally.
Travel
This position requires travel, up to 10% of the time. Travel will be mixed, local and outside the local area and overnight.
Expected Hours of Work
The typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
