We offer various training programs and internal job postings to help you advance your career.Here's how a Safety Coordinator for our Civil Infrastructure/Rail office contributes to our team:
- Assist with monitoring the implementation of the project/region HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.
- Identifies and assists in conducting project specific HSE training.
- Assist with providing teams with specific HSE information and trends and assist with the creation of action plans.
- Assists with the development and implementation of hazard identification tools.
- Supports project teams with the implementation of the emergency response plan and monitors project security requirements.
- Assist in verifying that equipment and tool inspections are being conducted and documented as per requirements.
- Assist in notifying appropriate stakeholders of any incident and supporting the investigation.
- Assist in coordinating and tracking training to stay in compliance
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and clients
- Assist in supporting project specific or client request

Qualifications
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Working toward safety designation.
- 1 year of experience in a related industry.
- Ability to learn applicable environmental legislation and HSE processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to effectively solve problems.
- Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
- Ability to learn and complete the OSHA 30 construction and the Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) credential
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting a desk and working on a computer and laptop
- Ability to lift 25 pounds at a time
