Sales Administrator
Summary Of Position Requirements
This position provides administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department and the Managers, through a variety of related responsibilities. The position requires an ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines, good judgment and a professional, supportive attitude.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Enter new listings to the local MLS – Multiple Listing Service (HAR – Houston Association of Realtors)
- Add and modify pictures in the MLS of active inventory for each listing.
- Add daily and weekly “Open Houses” in the MLS for each home, once they are complete.
- Run daily reports to be able to change status of homes in the MLS as they sell, cancel and close.
- Make daily price adjustments to homes in the MLS when they are adjusted by management.
- Take care of any warning notifications sent by the local MLS (HAR) by adjusting listings and contacting the MLS for further requirements.
- Geo-code all addresses for all homes listed in the MLS.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education And Additional Requirements
- One (1) year of MLS administrative assistant experience in homebuilding preferred
- High School diploma or GED required. College or Business school desirable
- Valid driver’s license
- Accurate typing 50-60 wpm
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining professional attitude. Must be able to adhere to fluctuating work schedules and varying work locations.
- Intermediate PC skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and JD Edwards system experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Must possess professional appearance and demeanor
- Must possess ability to handle priorities under pressure
- Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding company/associate information
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
- Interact well with co-workers
- Understand and follow work rules and procedures
- Team player
- Position may require working weekends.
Contacts
This position will have regular interaction with Division Associates and Sales Associates, and intermittent interaction with customers, appraisers, UAMC, North American Title and Sales Associates.
Physical Requirements
Some office work which may require the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
