Paragon Mechanical is a well-established, full-service mechanical contractor providing commercial and industrial construction and service to the Bay Area. We're looking for a dedicated HVAC Estimator to join our HVAC Mechanical division at our Morgan Hill office. As a key member of our HVAC Mechanical team, you'll primarily focus on estimating tasks for construction projects, including identifying the scope of work, performing detailed takeoffs, and collaborating with vendors. This is a full-time position where precision and expertise will directly contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
· Analyze Bid Documents: Thoroughly review all bid documents, including reading plan specifications and understanding project requirements to ensure accurate estimates.
· Perform HVAC Takeoffs: Conduct precise takeoffs for mechanical construction drawings specifically related to HVAC systems.
· Develop Accurate Estimates: Utilize Paragon's software systems to create complete and accurate estimates for labor and materials across all assigned projects.
· Maintain Project Information: Regularly update Paragon's systems with all relevant bid information, ensuring data accuracy.
· Facilitate Communication: Proactively communicate and respond to general contractors and vendors, ensuring smooth information flow and strong relationships.
· Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with Senior Executives and Project Managers to ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and accuracy.
Knowledge & Skills
· Blueprint Proficiency: Possess a foundational understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and scope sheets.
· Exceptional Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a meticulous approach to all tasks, ensuring accuracy in every estimate.
· Strong Computer Proficiency: Highly proficient in essential software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and PDF software.
· Excellent Communication: Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of clear and concise interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
· Customer Service & Relationship Building: Showcase excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Experience
· Previous construction industry experience is preferred.
· Prior experience with construction takeoffs is preferred.
· Experience with Trimble AutoBid is a plus.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
