We are looking for a dedicated Blade Operator to join our team in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Operate motor graders (blades) to spread, level and grade dirt, gravel and other materials.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and grade stakes.
- Use GPS and/or Earthworks machine control systems to achieve accurate grading.
- Perform finish grade to prepare subgrade, pad grade and other surfaces for paving.
- Maintain consistent communication with Foreman and crew to coordinate ongoing activities.
- Inspect and identify potential hazards on assigned equipment. Address issues promptly.
- Follow PRM safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain logs of equipment use and job progress as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience operating motor graders in heavy civil or grading projects.
- Strong understanding of grading and earthwork procedures.
- Familiarity with GPS/automated grade control system.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and grade stakes.
- Member of Local 3 (preferred but not required).

Additional Requirements
- Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Available for scheduled shifts, overtime, night work and weekend shifts as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, stand or operate equipment for extended periods, including uneven terrains.
Benefits
Total compensation package commensurate with experience. This position is open to non-union and union (Operating Engineers, Local 3) candidates. If chosen for this position, the candidate will be required to join Operating Engineers, Local 3 Union. Detailed benefit information will be provided to candidates selected to move forward in the interview process.
