Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) drivers to join our team. Drivers will be OTR for 5 days and home for 2 days every week.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to driving tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and flatbeds. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while managing long-distance deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers and flatbeds.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Follow route planning to optimize delivery schedules and minimize downtime.
- Ensure the secure transport of goods while maintaining product integrity during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of automatic transmission operation.
- Familiarity with various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers and flatbeds is preferred.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in freight handling is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and best practices in commercial driving.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,600.00 per week
