As our Chief Electrical Estimator, you'll be the expert behind the numbers. Your work sets the foundation for accuracy in our estimating process and building trust with our clients. You'll lead the electrical estimating team, bring accuracy to all estimates and ensure that we have the correct approach to add value for agency, commercial and private building clients. You are not afraid to pitch in and lead by example.
Salary Range: $90/hr-$125/hr
Your Day-to-Day Looks Like This: 
- Lead the full estimating process for complex electrical projects-pre concept through final proposal.
- Evaluate drawings, specifications, and scope to build complete, accurate cost estimates.
- Partner with PM's, engineers, and preconstruction teams to align estimates with project goals.
- Mentor and coach estimators, helping them grow technical expertise and confidence.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring we get the best pricing and insights to share with our clients.
- Work on electrical projects from $5 million to $500 million.
- Provide training to junior estimators for the electrical systems.

What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with at least several years in a management role.
- Excellent take off and pricing skills.
- Experience with government, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar).
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and specifications.
 
 
What You'll Need:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field-or equivalent hands-on experience.
-  7-10 years working with electrical systems in civic, commercial or mission-critical construction.
- Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E,
- Ability to interpret one-lines, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and coordination studies.
- Proficiency with QA tools (Procore, BIM 360, Smartsheet, CMMS).
- Strong communication skills to lead issue resolution with contractors, engineers and clients.
 
 
Value Added:
- Certifications: P.E., LEED, ASPE, or AACEI.
- Experience working on data centers, hospitals, or advanced manufacturing projects.

You will join a team of consummate professional estimators, running the electrical department and interfacing with our multidisciplinary teams. You will manage and negotiate with industry players like Rosendin, Cupertino, Berg, Helix, Sasco, MYR, Quanta and Primoris.
