Duties
- Assist with the preparation of work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing tools and materials
- Perform general construction tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and assembling structures or components according to specifications
- Operate basic power tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing them tools, materials, and supplies needed for various tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues and report them promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to ensure a secure workplace for yourself and colleagues
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas as required
Skills
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and understanding instructions clearly
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment with proper safety precautions
- Basic knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building materials
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
