About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our fast-moving development team. You will architect and build the core software foundation powering our GNSS product — from real-time firmware and hardware drivers to communication stacks and system integration. You’ll also play a key role in board bring-up and hardware validation, ensuring seamless hardware–software integration. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, where you’ll have the chance to shape both technology and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement embedded software in C/C++ and the required tools in Python.
- Develop and optimize software for ARM and RISC-V processors, interfacing with UART, USB, SPI, I²C, and SD Card peripherals.
- Lead hardware board bring-up and validation of new designs.
- Build and maintain software on bare metal and RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
- Contribute to system architecture and participate in design/code reviews.
- Champion modern practices: CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, AI developer tooling and flows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, QA, and product teams.
- Drive innovation in tools, processes, and embedded development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
- Strong expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Proficiency with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar)
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A or RISC-V architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of UART, USB, SPI, I²C, SD Card interfaces
- Hardware–software integration skills: schematics, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
- Python proficiency for scripting, testing, and automation
- Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code reviews
- Strong debugging skills (JTAG/SWD, GDB, signal analysis)
- Excellent English communication skills
- BSc, MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fiel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with unit testing, static analysis tools, and automated build pipelines.
- Knowledge of secure boot and embedded cybersecurity practices.
- Self-driven, adaptable mindset suited for startup growth.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for end-to-end product quality.
