Job Summary
We are seeking a Special Project Superintendent to be responsible for all construction operations on projects that range from site concrete work, K-12 Division of State Architect (DSA) school projects, and commercial tenant fit-outs. The superintendent is tasked with reviewing project plans to guarantee that all work is executed correctly and efficiently, and maintaining the project schedule to ensure overall productivity. The role also requires the effective management and scheduling of manpower.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Project Execution and Quality Control
- Reviewing project plans to ensure that all work is executed appropriately and according to specifications.
- Maintaining quality control regarding concrete finish requirements and overall construction standards.
- Monitoring the progress of work to maintain the project schedule and overall productivity.
Coordination and Logistics
- Scheduling and coordinating the delivery of all equipment, materials, and concrete required to execute the work plan.
- Planning and executing the daily workflow and work plans for the crew.
- Interacting with clients and subcontractors to coordinate site activities and manage expectations.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensuring the maintenance of a safe job site environment.
- Enforcing knowledge and compliance with current OSHA construction regulations among all crew members.
Experience
- Extensive experience in running concrete projects as a superintendent.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of current OSHA construction regulations.
- Knowledge of concrete finish requirements.
- Experience with Autodesk Build/AutoCAD for plan reading is preferred.
- Experience with HCSS for time keeping is preferred.
Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum experience in occupation: Four years
This role may be classified as Union C4 or as a non-union position. Benefits are determined on the classification.
