Project Execution Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
A fast-growing, privately held electrical contractor is seeking a driven and tech-savvy Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and industrial projects across the greater San Jose area. With 20+ years of industry experience and aggressive growth goals ahead, this position lets you play a key part in shaping the future of a company poised to explode in size.
You’ll join a collaborative leadership team that values innovation, precision, and results. From your very first day, you’ll step into a leadership role on high-impact initiatives—ranging from tenant fit-outs and ground-up builds to essential infrastructure upgrades for mission-critical sites, including water treatment operations and emergency power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle project management from pre-bid through close-out, ensuring on-time, under-budget, and quality delivery.
- Collaborate with internal estimators to develop detailed bid strategies and scopes of work.
- Manage and negotiate subcontractor and supplier relationships.
- Monitor financial performance of assigned projects including cost control, forecasting, and billing.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation with precision and speed.
- Perform routine site visits to monitor and optimize field productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Engage with clients through regular updates, meetings, and problem resolution.
- Navigate and manage union labor relationships, supporting productivity and compliance.
- Support team communication and project execution across construction, finance, and executive teams.
What Sets You Apart:
- Brings extensive expertise in electrical construction and project leadership, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Solid understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), project estimating, and safety protocols.
- Adept with project management software including Accubid and Microsoft Office; experience with Trimble PM tools a plus.
- Skilled communicator who can lead field teams, interface with clients, and report effectively to leadership.
- Financially minded with experience in cost reporting, forecasting, and job cost analysis.
- Strategic thinker with a knack for problem-solving and team leadership.
Preferred Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience).
- OSHA 10/30 certified.
- Comfortable with both field and office environments, with a willingness to visit job sites regularly.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the U.S.
