🚀 We’re Hiring: Survey Technician / Geospatial Analyst

Zero Gravity Civil Tech is a growing geospatial and survey technology firm supporting surveyors and engineers across the United States. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to add a talented Survey Technician / Geospatial Analyst to our team.
This is a full-time position, starting as fully remote, with the potential to transition into a hybrid role in Central or Northern California in the future.
About the Role
This position is primarily office-based (approximately 75%), with field-related work (approximately 25%) depending on experience and project needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in survey production and point cloud processing, supported by a solid understanding of field workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting Topographic and ALTA Surveys
- Working in Civil 3D
- Processing and analysis in Trimble Business Center and/or TopoDOT
- Surface modeling and feature extraction from point cloud data
- Supporting field operations including conventional survey, terrestrial scanning, and drone LiDAR when required
- Maintaining quality control standards for client deliverables
Required Qualifications
- Experience drafting ALTA and Topographic Surveys
- Proficiency in Civil 3D
- Experience with Trimble Business Center and/or TopoDOT
- Experience extracting surfaces and features from point cloud data
- Familiarity with conventional survey practices
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Field survey experience
- Drone LiDAR and photogrammetry experience
- FAA Part 107 certification
- Experience with processing tools (e.g., Yellowscan CloudStation, Pix4D)
- SLAM and/or mobile LiDAR experience (NavVis, Faro, Trimble, etc.)
