Circulating Air, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned mechanical contractor serving Southern California since 1965, is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional who can both win work through accurate estimating and successfully execute projects in the field, ensuring quality, budget control, and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all phases of assigned HVAC/mechanical projects
- Serve as primary liaison between General Contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Prepare detailed estimates including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bid packages
- Develop and manage Schedules of Values (SOV) and project cost tracking
- Process, track, and negotiate RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Procure and schedule equipment/material releases in alignment with project timelines
- Monitor labor productivity, subcontractors, and overall project budgets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Qualifications
- 5+ years HVAC/mechanical industry experience
- 3+ years in project management and/or estimating
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project lifecycle
- Experience performing accurate take-offs and cost estimating
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Trimble estimating software (preferred)
- Procore project management platform (preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)
