Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Charleston, SC, for a Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets, conducting quantity take-offs, solicit, review, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers,
and analyzing project specifications. Key daily responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, reviewing project documents, managing costs, managing change orders, and providing support in the preconstruction process. The role requires a high degree of precision, organizational skills, and collaboration with other professionals to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction Estimating and Quantity Take-off experience
- Proficiency in Cost Management and Budgeting for construction projects
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Strong ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines
- Proficiency in construction estimating software is preferred, including Google Workspace, BuilderTrend, & Bluebeam
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is beneficial
- Prior experience in estimating for custom home construction or remodeling projects is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000
