Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Residential Construction Estimator based in Lexington, KY. The Residential Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, analyzing project requirements, performing material take-offs, and collaborating with contractors and suppliers. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project designs and specifications, obtaining cost data from suppliers, preparing budgets, and providing insights to ensure projects remain within scope and budget.
Qualifications
- Expertise in cost estimation, material take-offs, and budget preparation
- Knowledge of residential construction materials, methods, and industry standards
- Proficiency in project analysis, bid preparation, and vendor/supplier coordination
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Relevant software skills, including Microsoft Office and construction estimation tools
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with teams, contractors, and clients
- Prior experience in residential construction estimating is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus
