We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Consultant to grow our footprint in California’s most vital agricultural and industrial regions.
In this role, you will act as a consultative partner, leveraging Samirian’s robust distribution network to solve complex procurement and application challenges for our clients. You will be the primary expert driving our Ammonium Sulfate portfolio and other specialty chemical solutions in the Central Valley, Salinas, and Imperial Valleys.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultative Business Development: Identify and capture new business opportunities within the fertilizer and specialty chemical markets. Move beyond transactional sales by acting as a trusted advisor who understands our clients' operational bottlenecks.
- Technical Portfolio Management: Serve as the subject matter expert for Ammonium Sulfate and our broader chemical catalog, educating retailers and large-scale agricultural operators on product efficacy, application, and compliance.
- Supply Chain Solutions: Utilize Samirian’s unique ability to provide personalized specifications, custom packaging, and flexible inventory timelines to provide "creative supply chain solutions" that differentiate us from commodity distributors.
- Strategic Relationship Building: Maintain and deepen relationships with key ag-retailers, distributors, and large-scale farming operations across your territory.
- Regional Expertise: Navigate the regulatory and environmental requirements of the California market, ensuring that our deliveries and recommendations align with state standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in chemical or agricultural input sales, with a deep understanding of the California agricultural landscape.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong background in soil chemistry, nutrient management, or specialty chemical applications. Ability to bridge the gap between technical chemical specifications and real-world grower outcomes.
- Consultative Mindset: A proven history of operating in an advisory capacity. You must be comfortable presenting data-driven solutions to sophisticated partners.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Savvy: Experience working with complex logistics or supply chain-heavy chemical distribution is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the Samirian Chemicals brand with professionalism and reliability.
