Role Description The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, analyzing labor, material, and subcontractor costs, and developing comprehensive bid proposals. The role involves collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and vendors to refine project budgets and support cost-effective construction methods. The Estimator will also track actual project costs versus estimates to improve forecasting and support cost management strategies. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Titusville, FL, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offs for residential and/or commercial projects.
- Experience with Cost Management and Budgeting to develop and maintain accurate project financials.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and local building codes.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Relevant experience as a construction estimator or in a similar project management or cost control role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage deadlines, and handle multiple estimates concurrently.
