Position Summary //
Glenn Layton Homes, a luxury custom home builder in Jacksonville, Fl is looking for a Senior Site Superintendent responsible for managing field operations, ensuring quality construction and on time delivery. We are looking for an energetic candidate committed not only to building a beautiful home but also upholding our longstanding reputation for providing excellent customer service to our homeowners. The Senior Site Superintendent’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, coordinating subcontractors, managing the construction schedule, quality control in preparation for inspections and providing updates to the project manager and homeowners. This role is supported by an in-office project manager, additional field staff and a finish/warranty manager, and reports to Glenn Layton Homes’ Director of Construction. Duties and Responsibilities //
- The primary role of the Senior Site Superintendent is to manage field operations of assigned custom home projects so they uphold our quality standards and our customer service experience.
- Equally as important, the Senior Site Superintendent will maintain a positive relationship with customers by providing construction updates and attending scheduled site walks.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors at assigned projects to ensure compliance with plans and construction schedule.
- Consistent communication with in-office project manager partner.
- Interface with Builder Trend construction management software
- Executing customer approved change orders in our full-custom process
- Ensure home passes required inspections and is turned over to customer on time.
Experience and Knowledge //
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of construction / customer service experience
- Previous luxury residential construction experience preferred
- Experience using a laptop or tablet
- Self-starter comfortable leading the project and associated team
Work Environment
- The work environment is representative of a field setting
- The work environment does require physical demands like climbing stairs and operating power tools.
- The work environment requires driving and a valid FL driver’s license

This description describes the essential responsibilities and requirements of the Senior Site Superintendent, however, tasks and conditions not listed here could be encountered while fulfilling this role. Please note, this is a client facing role, where you would be expected to meet and correspond with home owners to provide not only construction deliverables but also high level customer service acumen. A qualified candidate must be able to bend/lift/carry up to 50lbs, drive to assigned job sites and climb a ladder. This position is supported by our office staff and reports to the Glenn Layton Homes Director of Construction. The position is full time, and subject to a salaried compensation package/agreement.
