We are seeking a skilled Stator & Armature Winding and Assembly Technician responsible for winding, assembling, and inspecting electric motor stators and armatures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual coil winding, wire handling, motor assembly, and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual winding of stators and armatures according to engineering drawings, specifications, and winding patterns.
- Install and position copper wire, coils, insulation, sleeves, wedges, and other winding components.
- Prepare, form, insert, tie, lace, and secure coils as required.
- Perform armature winding, coil placement, soldering/brazing, and commutator connections.
- Assemble stator and armature components using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Follow winding schedules, wire sizes, turns, coil dimensions, and connection diagrams accurately.
- Perform lead preparation, terminal connections, soldering, and insulation as required.
- Inspect completed windings and assemblies for proper workmanship, alignment, insulation, and connections.
- Conduct basic electrical and mechanical tests such as continuity, resistance, insulation, and visual inspections.
- Identify and report defective materials, winding errors, or assembly problems.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe working condition.
- Assist with troubleshooting and rework of stators and armatures when required.
