The Construction Project Engineer will support multiple commercial construction projects through bidding, project coordination, contract administration, and closeout while helping teams deliver quality work on time and within budget.
We're looking for someone who
● Holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or has equivalent training or experience in a related field (preferred)
● Has entry-level experience in commercial construction (preferred)
● Can read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
● Has strong analytical, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
● Can manage details accurately and efficiently across multiple simultaneous projects
● Demonstrates initiative, self-discipline, and strong problem-solving skills
● Builds positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams
● Can clearly communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences
● Has experience with Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management tools (preferred)
● Has prior experience with budgets, purchasing, and accounting (preferred)
● Can set and achieve professional development goals while maintaining a high level of client service
What you'll do
● Assist project management teams with document control, RFIs, punch lists, meeting notes, subcontractor information, pricing, and other project documentation
● Review project opportunities and assist leadership with go/no-go evaluations
● Attend job walks and prepare takeoffs and self-perform pricing
● Solicit, obtain, and review bids from subcontractors and trade partners
● Assemble project estimates and bids for leadership review and submit them according to project requirements
● Coordinate with field and office teams to help deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
● Assist with subcontractor prequalification documentation and subcontract execution
● Support and promote established jobsite safety programs
● Document meetings with subcontractors, owners, and other project stakeholders
● Coordinate project closeout procedures and transition completed projects to end users
● Review contract documents and assist with change management, reporting, and contract administration
● Serve as a liaison between office teams, field teams, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers
● Build and maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
● Assist with business development and marketing initiatives as needed
● Collaborate with team members to resolve project issues and support successful project outcomes
