Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpentry Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the lead carpenter working in our warehouse. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trim carpentry.
- Assist with maintaining materials and equipment in the warehouse.
- Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials.
- Shapes materials to prescribed measurements.
- Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together.
- Perform some heavy lifting and material handling.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Physically able to drive, stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory
- Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
