Claims Specialist
Position Description: The Claims Specialist role is an exciting position where you can make a positive difference in the claims management process. The Claims Specialist will manage workers’ compensation and property casualty insurance claims to cost effective closures and prepare reports to communicate the positive results to clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with the claims adjusters to establish effective action plans to manage open claims to closure
Communicate with the adjusters to ensure they follow the claims management action plan
Coordinate and conduct claims reviews with insurance company adjusters
Reduce reserves on open claims
Create reports for clients that showcase our effectiveness at managing the claims process, closing claims and reducing reserves
Project experience modifications and create unit statistical filing reports for clients
Present claims reports to clients and explain the status of the claims to closure
Check posted experience modification calculations for accuracy and work with the Bureau or NCCI to correct any errors
Maintain knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations and use the information to best manage claims and educate clients
Requirements:
Several years of claims management or claims consulting experience
Practical working knowledge of the claims management process
Knowledge of the workers’ compensation laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
