A highly successful and rapidly growing tech/SAAS organization is looking for a Controller. This is a newly created position and will work closely with the executive team. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to develop the Accounting & Finance function and to build a department as the company continues to grow.

This can be either a Hybrid or Remote Role however remote candidates must by on the West Coast (PST).

Controller responsibilities:

Production of accrual based monthly financial statements
Month end close reconciliations and journal entries
Budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
Interacting with banks/VCs to assist in raising capital
Variance analysis
Staff management (1)
Payroll
AP/AR
Internal controls
Process improvements
Tax filings
Audits

Controller requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA a plus but not required
8+ years of progressive Accounting & Finance experience
Tech/SAAS industry experience a plus
QuickBooks experience
Solid Excels skills including Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Staff management experience
Excellent communications skills
Systems savvy
Experience working in a hands-on environment
