Job Summary
The HR Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting comprehensive HR functions, focusing on supporting the employee requisition and recruitment process as well as affirmative action compliance. This role encompasses redesigning job descriptions, enhancing employer branding, and driving initiatives to attract top talent. Additionally, the HR Specialist upholds the company’s commitment to equitable employment practices by maintaining compliance with affirmative action regulations.

Recruitment Support
- Job Requisition Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to create and post job requisitions on various platforms. Ensuring compliance with pay transparency requirements, alignment with organizational needs and consistent employer branding.
- Applicant Screening: Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates; conduct initial phone screenings to assess fit and interest.
- Interview Assistance: Coordinate interview schedules, prepare interview materials, and assist managers during the interview process.
- Offer Letter generation: Facilitate the offer approval and offer letter generation process, ensuring alignment with Company compensation philosophy.
Job Description Redesign
- Job Analysis: Perform in-depth analyses of existing job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect the roles and responsibilities.
- Redesign Initiatives: Partner with department heads to update and optimize job descriptions, aligning them with industry standards and enhancing appeal to top talent.
Employer Branding
- Brand Development: Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to strengthen our employer brand, showcasing our company mission, vision, and values.
- Content Creation: Collaborate on creating engaging content for recruitment campaigns, social media, and career pages that resonate with potential candidates.
Affirmative Action Compliance
- Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of affirmative action policies to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records related to applicant flow and diversity metrics, preparing reports as needed for management review.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, principals, and practices.
- Familiarity with affirmative action regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Proficient in HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Proficient in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Thoroughness in reviewing applications and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in maintaining records related to applicant flow and diversity metrics.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or certification demonstrating proficiency in HR basics is required. Equivalent years of work experience in lieu of degree.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in HR, recruitment or a related role.
Compensation: $30/hr - $40/hr plus discretionary bonus potential
