We are looking for a full time Funeral Arranger to join our team and provide compassionate care to families during their time of need. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing and assisting with funeral services, from the initial arrangement to the final disposition. This includes providing support and guidance to families, preparing documents, arranging for transportation of the deceased, and ensuring all services are carried out according to regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others in their time of grief and be able to handle sensitive situations with grace and dignity.
The work schedule will either be Tue-Sat or Sun-Thur. Please note that this is an extremely high volume and fast-pace environment. We also require a business professional dress code.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, arrange and assist with visitations, funeral services and ceremonies.
- Consult with families to plan funerals and memorial services.
- Provide information to families about available services and products.
- Maintain records of funeral services and merchandise purchased.
- Supervise staff and provide direction to ensure that all services are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors, clergy, cemeteries, florists, and other service providers to ensure that all arrangements are completed in a timely manner.
- Assists in the movement of the casketed deceased and other related paraphernalia in and out of the visitation area, funeral home chapel, church or other place of service
- Drives the hearse, family limousine or other vehicle in the funeral
- Provide support to grieving families during the funeral process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
