Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled IT Automation Developer to design, develop, and implement automated systems within our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities to streamline processes, create scripts for automation, and optimize system performance. The role focuses on reducing manual intervention across deployment, service management, data management, and other IT operations. This position is critical in helping us automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and maintain the quality and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated systems to streamline IT processes.
- Build and manage workflows and integrations using Zapier to connect various tools and applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Zapier is required.
- Develop and deploy OpenAI integrations to enhance automation capabilities.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for automation across deployment, service management, data management, and other operations.
- Collaborate with teams to define and implement automation solutions that address pain points.
- Scripting and Testing:
- Write scripts to execute automated tests for system monitoring and quality assurance.
- Conduct rigorous testing of automated systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor the performance of automated systems and resolve any issues proactively.
- Continuously refine and improve automation workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Documentation and Training:
- Document automation processes and workflows for reference and training purposes.
- Train team members on utilizing automation tools and workflows effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT automation, system integration, or a related role is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise with Zapier for workflow automation and integrations is required.
- Familiarity with OpenAI sourcing, integrations, and application in IT automation is required.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and APIs for automation.
- Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
