Position: Plumbing/Piping Detailer
Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $38.00 - $45.00 an hour
JOB SUMMARY: Produce coordinated models for both design and fabrication. Create install drawings and details necessary for plumbing/piping installation.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND EXPECTED RESULTS (The activities that are essential to the business success and the expected results.)
1.Setup job folders, create base models, create sheets collect and edit details
2.Generate coordinated 3D models in Revit and/or CAD Fabrication for design/installation.
3.Track and resolve coordination issues through Navis and/or other coordination software
4.Generate accurate design and installation documents.
5.Create BOM’s, hanger fab cut list/labels, spools and Trimble files
6.Incorporate answered RFI’s and changes into model and update any necessary documentation
7. When required: responsible for attending meetings with peer contractors and project designers to resolve coordination conflicts between trades
8. Decision making (choosing alternate routes or component), and prioritizing (deciding which tasks need addressed first)
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
1.Meet project deliverable dates for design milestones
2.Meet project deliverable dates for shop fab drawings and field documents
3.Complete work scope within budgeted hours or better.
4.Provide accurate drawings for design or construction that meet code requirements and Intech standards
QUALIFICATIONS: (A list of the expected prior education and or experience.)
1. Experience working in Revit 2020/newer and CAD fabrication 2020/newer in the last 12 months and good working knowledge of these programs
2. As a minimum, must have 1 year of formal AutoCAD/ Revit training for piping from a technical school or college. Or 2 years on the job training/experience with a mechanical contractor, which will require submission of references and job duties.
3. Good working Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu
4. Experience with reading and understanding construction drawings and details
5. Basic understanding of the practices used in the Commercial Plumbing/Piping construction industry
6.Knowledge and understanding of current plumbing code
7.Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged sitting and standing. Required eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. Work is performed in an open office environment.
