Our client, a leader in the financial technology industry, is looking to hire a Fraud/Trust & Safety Investigator. This is a fully remote role that will align to Arizona time zones.

As a Fraud/Trust & Safety Investigator, you’ll work on the frontlines of fraud prevention—conducting end-to-end investigations, identifying patterns in financial crime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies. You'll play a vital role in protecting our users and enhancing the integrity of our ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and resolve cases from various internal queues and sources
- Conduct detailed reviews and investigations of high-risk activity
- Perform root cause analysis and identify fraud typologies and patterns
- Document investigation outcomes in both narrative and system-based formats
- Deliver clear, accurate reports and recommendations to internal leadership
- Collaborate with risk, product, and operations teams to implement process changes
- Escalate urgent or complex matters appropriately and with sound judgment
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years in Financial Crime Investigations OR 1+ year experience in Intelligence Analysis or Law Enforcement, focusing on financial crime
- Strong investigative mindset with the ability to identify fraud trends and threats
- Customer-focused with a sense of urgency and high professional integrity
Preferred Skilld:
- Bachelor’s degree
- CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or ACAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Background in financial services, fintech, or consumer technology environments
