We are seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our Renewable Energy Estimating Team. This opportunity is well-suited for candidates with approximately 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic team.
Please note: This position requires a background specifically in electrical disciplines; candidates with mechanical, civil, or auto body estimating experience may not meet the qualifications for this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Review project drawings and specs to understand scope of work
- Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate costs for project change orders
- Use Accubid to input data and generate proposals
- Request and review vendor/supplier quotes for materials and equipment
- Assist in identifying and qualifying subcontractors
- Draft scope letters with clear inclusions/exclusions
- Collaborate with senior estimators, engineers, and project managers
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related electrical-focused field
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in estimating or electrical construction preferred
- Familiarity with interpreting electrical drawings/plans
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Bonus: Experience with estimating software (especially Accubid)
