Job Title: Project Surveyor

We’re currently seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Overview: The Project Surveyor will play a critical role in surveying projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
The Project Surveyor shall, under limited supervision, organize, manage and direct survey crews and office staff for the preparation of boundary, topographic, ALTA, right of way, construction staking, and subdivision projects tasks.
Project Surveyor shall calculate and analyze field boundary data, assists field survey crews on complex survey engagements, performs survey research, prepares various survey deliverables such as ALTA’s, Subdivision Maps, Legal Descriptions, Construction Staking Calculations, and Condominium Plans. Applicant should be able to proficiently take various survey projects from start to finish.
This candidate will provide support to various Project Managers within the firm, provide coordination and support to the field crews, and work closely with Clients to execute project deliverables on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey Planning: Develop and execute survey plans and methodologies for various types of projects including construction, land development, and infrastructure.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret survey data, prepare accurate survey drawings, reports, and documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure survey requirements are met and integrated into project plans.
- Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of survey measurements and results, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any surveying-related issues or discrepancies that arise.
- Compliance: Ensure all survey activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Land Surveying
- Skills: Proficiency in survey software (e.g., Trimble Business Center),field procedures, error analysis, GPS data processing, and subdivision mapping
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in survey measurements and data analysis.
- Certifications: LSIT (required), PLS license (preferred)
