Job Summary
The Self-Perform Senior Project Engineer provides operational support of the self-perform projects. This role will require strong communication between the Self Perform and General Contractor Project Teams throughout the duration of the project(s).
SALARY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually

Job Responsibilities
- Exercise general supervision of multiple job sites to monitor and manage projects during each phase of construction; including but not limited to pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
- Act as the “information hub” for project to office and field personnel to ensure continuity of work.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and creates platform for sharing of information with internal team.
- Create material submittals based on plans and specifications.
- Write, manage, and distribute RFI’s as required.
- Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- Create procurement log and communicate long lead items to Foreman and GC Team.
- Assist with pricing of change orders and review with field supervisors prior to submission. Maintain internal change order log. Solicit quotes when applicable for change order preparation.
- Assist Superintendent and Foreman with weekly production tracking.
- Proactively raise issues with Team that may prevent flow and production.
- Meet with the General Contractor Team as required to review change orders, production tracking, RFI’s, etc.
- Help Superintendent and Foreman mediate issues in the field. Document solutions, agreements and/or direction.
- Assist with job cost documentation for monthly review.
- Assist Superintendent and/or Foreman with weekly timecard entry.
- Approve and reconcile invoices in Sage Paperless, if assigned.
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Negotiate and advocate for safety, quality, and production.
- Promote strong team morale.
- Project accounting functions including managing the budget and preparing monthly project cost projections (Train and practice skill through instruction of Project Manager)
- Submit monthly billings for self-performs scopes (Train and practiced skill through instruction of Project Manager)
- Approve and reconcile vendor invoices (Train and practice skill through instruction of Project Manager)
- Budget Set-up. From QB to excel to timberline (Train and practice skill through instruction of Project Manager)
- Advanced pricing, quantity takeoffs, small bids/budgets using OST, QuickBid, and Excel (Train and practice skill through instruction of Project Manager)
Qualifications
- 3+ years or more of experience in the construction industry.
- Full knowledge of computer software, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Project.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective participation in team environment.
- Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects and responsibilities.

Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction.
