Project Assistant
Position Description
Directly responsible for supporting construction documents, at the direction of the Superintendent and General Foreman. Project Managers, and Project Engineers, in coordination with Foreman in field. To assist with company communications, fielding documentations. This is a full-time position with room for growth.
Expected daily schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 am-2:30 pm. Additional hours in the morning, evenings and weekends may be required / offered depending on workload. If applicant is a student, a part-time schedule can be discussed leading up to degree completion.
Work is Headquartered in Chico, CA where 2-week training period will be held.
The applicant would be working out of the Camino, CA Mobile Office.
Qualifications
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Experience with Electric Utility Construction Documents
· Experience with Construction Software ( PlanGrid / Autodesk Build is a plus )
· A degree in Construction Management, a degree in-progress, or equivalent experience in industry
· Field experience in construction, comfort and understanding around jobsites and the safety hazards they present
· Must have strong organization skills
· Must be technically proficient with iPad and Construction Software use
Examples of General Responsibilities
· Coordinate project materials
· Organize project documents before and after construction through Digital and hard copies.
· Assist with generating project as-builts organizing and filing
· Assist with paperwork and communications, including emails, phone calls and text messaging.
· Support General Foremen and Managers when scheduling details are needed for completion. I.e., Hotel Bookings for out-of-town work, etc.
· Call in and Maintain USA tickets
· Filling out, reviewing, processing Daily unit sheets
· Material tracking ordering, in coordination with GF and groundman in the yard
· Weekly Inspector schedule submission
· AFW tracking/printing
· Processing time off requests, receipts, JHA’s
· Print, scan & assign tasks on site.
· Assist Foremen with questions and concerns regarding iPad use and Autodesk Management.

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
