Job description:
Aliquot Associates, a well-established, multi-disciplined civil engineering and land surveying firm founded in 1980 is seeking to fill an opening for an experienced Land Survey Drafter.
We are seeking a candidate with three years of survey drafting experience, and six months of field experience. The Land Survey Drafter should be proactive, detail oriented and able to work in a team environment. The candidate will add support on a wide variety of public and private projects. The Land Survey Drafter needs to be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Word and Excel; experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus. The candidate should possess a solid knowledge of drafting principles and practices and should have the ability to plan work priorities, meet deadlines, and work under the general supervision of a licensed Land Surveyor. The Land Survey Drafter should also have the ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships. Preference will be given to those with an L.S.I.T. or those actively working on acquiring their L.S.I.T.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare detailed survey drawings and maps based on field data using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Research official maps and deeds as well as utility information.
- Perform closure calculations.
- Read and interpret deeds and subdivision maps to draw boundaries.
- Organize and maintain survey records, reports, and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with field surveyors to clarify any issues or discrepancies in survey data.
- Draft Corner Records, Final Maps, Records of Survey, ALTA Surveys, etc.
We have offices in Walnut Creek and Oakland, CA and perform projects in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties along with other Bay Area Counties.
