About the role:
We are seeking a top-tier Senior DAS Construction Engineer for a critical contract role to help execute our in-building wireless deployment for Super Bowl LX. Working in direct support of our Principal Engineer and technical leadership, you will be a key, hands-on expert responsible for the successful design and construction management of over 30 high-priority projects. This role requires a seasoned professional who can operate with a high degree of independence to implement designs, solve complex on-site challenges, and drive projects to completion under aggressive deadlines, ensuring our network is flawless for this high-profile global event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key technical expert in client-facing meetings, providing immediate analysis and solutions in alignment with the project's lead engineers.
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for your assigned portfolio of DAS and in-building venue designs and installations.
- Oversee and manage construction vendors, ensuring adherence to design specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of RF designs, construction drawings, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Interface with venue management, internal teams, and external partners to resolve complex logistical and technical challenges.
- Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and execute solutions to keep deployments on schedule.
- Provide regular, concise status reports on project milestones, financial tracking, and overall progress to the team leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Expert OEM Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge and hands-on experience with Ericsson and JMA DAS and radio equipment is mandatory.
- Decisive Problem-Solving: Proven ability to make confident, accurate technical and logistical decisions in real-time during client-facing meetings, without the need for offline research.
- Proven Prioritization Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a large portfolio of complex projects, ensuring the timely delivery of critical infrastructure.
- Extensive DAS Rollout Experience: Significant prior experience working on large-scale, in-market DAS and small cell deployments.
- Technical & Financial Acumen: Proficiency in analyzing detailed construction drawings, iBwave designs, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and vendor financial quotes for accuracy and completeness.
- High Degree of Autonomy: Must be a highly effective, self-starting professional capable of independently driving assigned projects, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with other major OEM equipment (e.g., CommScope, SOLiD, Corning).
- Strong understanding of PIM, Sweep, and Fiber testing standards and analysis.
- Direct experience with large public venue deployments (stadiums, arenas, airports).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with local jurisdictions and permitting processes in the Bay Area
