Position: Senior Cost Estimator
Location: Ceres, CA – Onsite

Job Summary:
The Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and industrial projects, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other plant systems. This role requires a strong technical understanding of mechanical and industrial installations and the ability to produce detailed, reliable project budgets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical contracting or industrial project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for mechanical and industrial projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations.
- Analyze project risks and include contingencies in estimates.
- Maintain an estimating database for standard costs and historical project data.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide input on value engineering opportunities.
- Track and update estimates during project lifecycle as scope or costs change.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an estimator in mechanical and industrial projects (HVAC, plumbing, piping, plant systems).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, Trimble, Bluebeam) and MS Office.
- Knowledge of material, labor, and equipment costs in mechanical/industrial projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor, subcontractor, and internal coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD for mechanical systems.
- Previous experience with large industrial or plant projects.
