What you’ll do
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of abatement projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Lead a team of workers in the safe removal of asbestos, mold, and other hazardous materials from residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify hazards and develop effective abatement plans tailored to each project.
- Train team members on proper techniques for asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and restoration processes.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is maintained, inspected, and used correctly to promote safety on-site.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any potential issues that may arise.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, compliance documentation, and incident reports.
Basic qualifications
- Must have a Lead Abatement Certification
- Proven experience in asbestos abatement or mold remediation within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to hazardous material handling.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Must have a Lead Abatement Certification
- Certifications in asbestos abatement or mold remediation as required by state law.
- Experience with restoration processes following hazardous material removal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
