Super-10 Driver/ Sweeper Truck Operator

Job Description
West-Tech Contracting is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Super-10/ Sweeper Truck Driver to join our team. Any other driving experience is a plus! The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing loading of the truck, making sure siderails and all flat surfaces are clean before entering the roadway, while moving to and from job sites. Ideal candidates will be responsible for operating safely and legally at all times.
Driver will be dispatched from the shop that is located off of Miramar Road.
Key Responsibilities
Super-10
o Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
o Follow all traffic and safety regulations, including DOT standards and company policies.
o Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all trips and deliveries.
o Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
o Perform minor maintenance on vehicles and equipment as needed.
Sweeper Truck
o Safely drive and operate the sweeper truck to clean designated areas, including streets, highways, parking lots, and other public spaces.
o Ensure proper use of all controls and functions of the sweeper truck, such as the broom system, vacuum, and water spray mechanisms.
o Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the sweeper truck, including checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and the condition of the broom or vacuum system.
o Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance team.
o Keep the truck clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS systems, and delivery schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Be able to drive Manual Transmission
- Must be able to obtain Military Base Access/pass background check. (required)
- Must be able to pass DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Endorsements such as Air brake, Tanker (preferred but not required).
