ACE Quality Control is seeking special inspectors to part of our growing team and work on some significant projects in throughout the Northern California. Consequently, we have a career opportunity for ICC Special Inspectors. We're looking for a person with initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The Special Inspector/Technician will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals. This a key team player position where professionalism and supporting clients are critical.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Able to use a computer with a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and photo management software
· Have own vehicle, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record or
· A company vehicle can be assigned to individuals where needed
· Willing to travel
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college or a degree is highly desired.
Required Certifications: Possess current certifications in areas listed below. Senior Inspectors are needed for full-time projects.
Entry Level
· ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
· ICC Reinforced Concrete
· ICC Masonry
· ICC Fireproofing
Experienced
· ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete
· ICC Structural Steel
· ICC High Strength Bolting
· ICC Soils
· ICC Project Leader
Desired Certifications
· CALTRANS soils and concrete
· Certified Welding Inspector
· Nuclear Gauge/Troxler
Also, ability to obtain additional related (ICC) certification in the future. The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.
